Qualifications

Admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria on the 1st of October 1981. Accredited as a Specialist by the Law Institute of Victoria in Wills and Estates on the 1st of September 1994. Obtained a Graduate Diploma of Business (Management) through the University of Ballarat on the 5th of May 1998.

Experience

Andrew has been with Byrne Andrew has been with Byrne, Jones & Torney Solicitors in Ballarat since 1980 and was admitted as a partner in 1985. Currently he is the Chairman of Directors and in charge of the Wills and Deceased Estate's Department. He has over 20 years legal experience in Wills and Estates.

He is a Director on Victorian Securities Corporation Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bendigo Bank), chairman of the Catholic Diocese of Ballarat - Foundation, a member of St Patrick's College Board, a member of Nazareth House Advisory Board Victoria and a member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

He is a past Councillor of the City of Ballarat, a past Board Member for the Ballarat Regional Board and has served on the board of the Ambulance Service Victoria Western Region.
