Qualifications

Trade qualified followed by a Production Technician Certificate, a Post Graduate Diploma of Business (Management) from the University of Ballarat and completion of The Manufacturing Management Program with the Melbourne University , School of Management . In addition, Noel has completed many specific industry-based training programs and in turn has run many programs, training others within business.

Experience

Noel brings more than 30 years of business experience to the position, having worked in middle-to-senior management positions with both multinational and smaller companies.

He has worked in manufacturing, production management, distribution and warehousing, sales and marketing and human resources and has established two successful retail businesses in Ballarat.

In recent years, Noel has turned his attention to the not-for-profit sector and has, since January 2007, held the position of Chief Executive Officer of The Ballarat Foundation. In November 2008 Noel joined the Board of Australian Community Philanthropy Limited (ACP), a peek body for the Australian Community Foundation movement.

A long term Ballarat resident, married with three adult children and proud grandparent to two girls and a boy, Noel's community interests cover a wide range of activities. Amongst other interests, he is a two times past president and current vice- president of the Vintage and Classic Car Club – Ballarat.
