Seven Ballarat community groups received $30,000 in funding grants to today. The funding grants are provided through The Ballarat Foundation under the seventh round of community grants from one of its major sub-funds, the Telstra Country Wide® (TCW) Ballarat Community Fund. The grants were presented at Pinarc Support Services, a recipient in this round, providing an opportunity to showcase some of the incredible work that is undertaken in our community by community not for profit organisations. Noel Trengove, CEO of The Ballarat Foundation, said “I am very proud of the ongoing partner relationships we have and in particular this one with Telstra Country Wide as it allows us, jointly, to make a significant and regular (two times per year) contribution to community organisations in Ballarat.” TCW Area General Manager, Mr Bill Mundy, said the TCW Ballarat Community Fund was another tangible way Telstra was able to support the Ballarat Community. “This is the seventh round of community grants that have taken place since the TCW Ballarat Community Fund was established with The Ballarat Foundation in 2005. To date, the TCW Ballarat Community Fund has awarded grants totalling more than $232,000 to community organisations and projects enabling them to carry out vital work to support the social well being of the Ballarat community.”
