Golden Key supports Ballarat Foundation

The University of Ballarat's top academic achievers were recently inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society. Students who fall within the top 15 percent of UB undergraduates are invited to join the society each year. Also inducted as honorary members for service to the community were City of Ballarat Mayor, Cr. Judy Verlin and The Ballarat Foundation CEO, Noel Trengove.

Golden key members are rewarded for their academic, leadership and service excellence, and the organisation offers many scholarships solely to its members.

Golden key chapter advisor Linda Petrie said that "Each year the society raises money for a charity and this year the committee has decided to raise money for The Ballarat Foundation's Back to School Voucher program.

As guest speaker, CEO Noel Trengove said that he was humbled to be acknowledged amongst a group of such worthy and high calibre students and was able to deliver to the audience at this auspicious event a brief overview of the work of the Foundation and in particular the impact made by the Back to School voucher program
