The Ballarat Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of Ballarat and surrounding Communities by:

• Attracting and investing endowment resources;
• Assessing emerging and changing community needs;
• Using the endowment income to make grants that respond to the needs of our community and the charitable interests of our donors;
• Demonstrating philanthropic leadership in our work with community organisations through consultation, collaboration and sharing information; and
• Exercising accountability both in evaluating the effectiveness of our grants program and in our financial reporting to the community.
