A Family Business Giving Back

Advanced Cabinetry is a Ballarat-based, family-owned company that designs, manufactures and installs a wide range of kitchen and household cabinetry.

Clint and Tanya, who founded the business in 1999 out of a two-car garage in Brown Hill, have grown it into a thriving local enterprise with a purpose-built factory and award-winning showroom. While their business has expanded and earned recognition for quality and innovation, Clint and Tanya have always placed equal importance on supporting the community that supports them.

In 2007, after exploring ways to make their giving sustainable, they partnered with the Ballarat Foundation to establish the Advanced Cabinetry Sub-Fund. Since then, the fund has continued to grow each year, providing ongoing support for local projects and initiatives that strengthen Ballarat.

Advanced Cabinetry has developed creative ways to engage staff, suppliers and customers in their giving. Each Christmas they coordinate collections of toys and, more recently, toiletries, which are donated to local charities. They also make a donation to their sub-fund on behalf of every builder they supply, accompanied by a Christmas card explaining the gift.

Clint and Tanya also play an active role in the life of the Ballarat Foundation, contributing their time and insight through the Allocations Committee to help guide the distribution of community grants. Their leadership and example demonstrate how family-owned businesses can build a legacy of impact through philanthropy.

The Advanced Cabinetry Fund continues to support programs that change lives in the region, and Clint and Tanya encourage other local businesses to consider how they, too, can give back to the community that sustains them.
