The Janine Owen Fund was created by Tim Owen to honour the life and legacy of his beloved wife, Janine, who tragically passed away at just 37 years old. Determined to channel his grief into something positive, Tim used Janine’s estate to establish the fund with the Ballarat Foundation, supporting causes close to her heart. Since its inception, more than $100,000 in grants has been distributed to projects addressing youth disengagement.
In 2025, the fund grew significantly following the settlement of the estate of Janine’s parents, Betty and Gerald Mallon, with Tim once again directing proceeds to continue Janine’s legacy. Janine was a University of Ballarat graduate and a respected finance professional, working with organisations including Ballarat Regional Industries, Goodman Fielder and the Department of Sustainability and Environment.
Through the Janine Owen Fund, you can support vital community programs and offer hope to young people in Ballarat.
Donate today to honour Janine’s legacy and make a lasting difference in the Ballarat community.
Every contribution makes a difference. Thank you for supporting our cause.
