The Ballarat Connected Communities Fund has been established to continue the impact and vision of Ballarat Connected Communities through a permanent community endowment managed by the Ballarat Foundation.
The Fund supports initiatives, projects and programs that proactively and responsibly enhance prosperity and social wellbeing across Ballarat and surrounding communities.
Through collaboration, leadership and community partnerships, Ballarat Connected Communities helped bring people together to address local challenges and create positive change. This Fund ensures that legacy continues for future generations.
How the Fund Works
The Ballarat Connected Communities Fund is an endowed fund.
The donation is invested, with income generated from the fund used to support charitable projects and programs that benefit the Ballarat community. This approach allows the original capital to be preserved while creating an ongoing source of funding for community impact.
Areas of Impact
The Fund may support initiatives addressing:
Housing and homelessness
Food insecurity
Mental health and wellbeing
Community resilience
Social inclusion
Other community priorities identified through Ballarat's Vital Signs research and emerging local needs
The Ballarat Foundation acknowledges the Wadawurrung people, the Traditional Owners of the lands and waterways in our region. We recognise their diversity, resilience, and the ongoing place that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people hold in our communities. We pay our respects to Elders, both past and present, and commit to working together in the spirit of mutual understanding, respect and reconciliation.
The Ballarat Foundation is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive community where everyone is welcomed, respected and empowered to thrive.
