Ballarat Women’s Fund Grant

The Ballarat Women’s Fund is an annual grants program funded by contributions from community members.

Grants Supporting Women and Equality in Ballarat

Ballarat Women’s Fund Grants support initiatives that create long term benefit for women and the wider community in Ballarat.

The grants are funded through contributions from members of the Ballarat Women’s Fund and support projects in two key focus areas:

Family Violence Prevention
Primary prevention and early intervention initiatives that address the drivers of family violence, promote gender equality and build safe, respectful and supportive communities.

Community Equality
Programs that improve participation, opportunity and inclusion for women by addressing systemic barriers such as economic insecurity, access to education, employment pathways, health literacy and leadership opportunities.

The program offers three grants annually:

• One major grant of $30,000 excluding GST
• Two runner up grants of $2,500 excluding GST

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to present their initiative to Ballarat Women’s Fund members at a public event, where members vote to determine the major grant recipient.

Please ensure you read the grant guidelines before completing your application.

We work on Wadawurrung land

The Ballarat Foundation acknowledges the Wadawurrung people, the traditional owners of the lands and waterways in our region. We recognise their diversity, resilience, and the ongoing place that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people hold in our communities. We pay our respects to the Elders, both past and present, and commit to working together in the spirit of mutual understanding, respect and reconciliation.

The Ballarat Foundation is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive community where everyone is welcomed, respected and empowered to thrive.
