Ballarat Foundation Sub Funds

The Ballarat Foundation is a trusted and experienced community foundation dedicated to supporting the Ballarat region.

Our sub funds are central to our impact-driven approach, enabling long-term, locally focused change.

Community grants are made possible through donations and gifts in wills, held within our sub funds. These funds are pooled and invested, with the income generated used to support community initiatives across the region. The Ballarat Foundation's investment portfolio is professionally managed by JB Were Philanthropic Services.

Our diverse sub funds reflect the generosity of individuals, families and organisations committed to creating a better future for Ballarat. Each fund contributes to key areas such as health, housing, youth, food security, gender equality and community wellbeing.

The community foundation model empowers legacy giving—enabling ongoing impact and allowing anyone in our region to play a part in building a stronger Ballarat.

We work on Wadawurrung land

The Ballarat Foundation acknowledges the Wadawurrung people, the traditional owners of the lands and waterways in our region. We recognise their diversity, resilience, and the ongoing place that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people hold in our communities. We pay our respects to the Elders, both past and present, and commit to working together in the spirit of mutual understanding, respect and reconciliation.

The Ballarat Foundation is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive community where everyone is welcomed, respected and empowered to thrive.
