More Than a Dance Competition

Since its debut in 2019, Dancing With Our Stars has grown into one of the Ballarat Foundation's flagship fundraising events, bringing together local leaders, business owners and community members in support of local people and communities.

Each year, ten local Stars step outside their comfort zones, committing to weeks of dance rehearsals and fundraising before taking to the stage alongside experienced dancers from The Dance Studio. Together, they inspire the community to get behind the cause, with every dollar raised supporting the Ballarat Foundation's work across the region.

What began as a bold fundraising idea has evolved into one of Ballarat's most anticipated annual events. More than sixty local Stars have taken to the dance floor, raising over $1.5 million and creating a legacy of generosity, courage and community that continues to grow each year.

Dancing With Our Stars 2026

The 2026 gala was the biggest and most successful Dancing With Our Stars event to date. Held at Mercure Ballarat, the evening brought together a sold out audience for a spectacular celebration of community, generosity and entertainment.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of our Stars, sponsors, donors and supporters, a record-breaking $306,000 was raised, the highest fundraising total in the event's history. These funds will support the Ballarat Foundation's work across homelessness, food insecurity, youth success, mental health and gender equality, helping create lasting impact throughout our region.
