15 April 2022
Between 8 April and 25 June, our ten stars will be busily learning choreography and holding their fundraising events - all culminating in a magical gala event at Mercure Ballarat on Saturday 25 June.
This year, we have two of last year’s stars returning as dance partners. Alicia Wang Sheludko and Rochelle Kirkham continued their dance journey with The Dance Studio Ballarat and will proudly be helping two of this year’s Stars through their dance steps.
The event provides critical funds for the Ballarat Foundation to undertake important work breaking the cycles of disadvantage in our local community. Last year, Dancing with our Stars raised over $104,000, and we are hoping to make that impact even greater with this year’s event.
The Ballarat Foundation would like to acknowledge the generous support of Shelley Ross, owner of The Dance Studio Ballarat, who volunteers hundreds of hours to make this event possible.
The Ballarat Foundation acknowledges the Wadawurrung people, the traditional owners of the lands and waterways in our region. We recognise their diversity, resilience, and the ongoing place that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people hold in our communities. We pay our respects to the Elders, both past and present, and commit to working together in the spirit of mutual understanding, respect and reconciliation.
The Ballarat Foundation is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive community where everyone is welcomed, respected and empowered to thrive.
