Thirteen L2P Success Stories in August

Thirteen L2P Graduates Take the Wheel in August

August was a busy and successful month for the Ballarat Foundation’s L2P Program, with thirteen young people graduating and gaining their P plates. Together, they clocked up an incredible 1,560 hours of supervised driving practice, supported every step of the way by our dedicated volunteer mentors.

A huge round of applause to our learners who successfully gained their P’s: Clare, Michelle, Holly, Heath, Eloise, Lillia, Brayden, Sam, Hayley, Anita, Riley, Alex and Axel. Achieving this milestone means more than just being able to drive, it represents independence, confidence and new opportunities in work, education and training.

Of course, these achievements wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our volunteer mentors. We extend a heartfelt thank you to Matt, Robert, Warwick, Michael, Don, Cath, Milad, Rod, Chris D, Rick, Paul, Harry and Brad. Your time, encouragement and patience make all the difference in helping learners reach their 120 required hours and feel prepared for the driving test.

“Thank you very much. The L2P Program was amazing, both of my instructors were fantastic. They really wanted to see me get my P's and did everything possible they could to get me feel ready when I went for the test.”

Heath, L2P Graduate.

The L2P Program is about more than passing a test, it’s about building confidence, fostering supportive connections, and giving young people the freedom to take their next steps in life. We are proud of our August graduates and grateful to the mentors who make this journey possible.

Together, we’re not just creating safe drivers and stronger futures.

Become an L2P Mentor

Do you have a few hours a week to spare? The L2P Program is always looking for new volunteer mentors to help young people gain the skills and experience they need to become safe, independent drivers. No professional driving experience is required — just patience, encouragement and a full driver’s licence.
